Toni Collette, an Australian actor, gained notoriety in 1994's comedy drama Muriel's Wedding. She later achieved further fame for the film The Sixth Sense. When she was a young girl, her interest in performing arts began while she was studying at Washington School of Ballet. She began her career in dancing with great success, performing in school plays. After matriculating she attended Carnegie Mellon University where she was a drama student but did not complete her degree as, after two years she dropped out to focus on her professional career in acting.
